Adding settings put global tether_dun_required 0 over adb doesn't seem to work. Tested with Wifi and USB Tether. Changing the APN didn't seem to have any effect. I ordered the "test drive" t9 from Tmo. I was getting around 25Mbps down with the tmo sim. After the 30 days was up, I plopped my Fi sim in the hotspot, and my down speed tanked to 0.01Mbps.
